Steve Blake has been promoted to the role of Chief Financial Officer for Pipeline. Blake served as Pipeline’s Chief Accounting Officer and as Chief Financial Officer for Pipeline Health’s Los Angeles market for the last six years. He has more than 35 years’ experience in multi-hospital financial management, including experience in financial management roles with public, private and non-profit companies. Steve will work with the executive team to help assure the hospitals stay on track with newly-developed business plans.
Vince Green, M.D., has returned to Pipeline as Chief Medical Officer. Green is an emergency medicine physician with more than 20 years’ experience. He served Pipeline between 2018-2022 as Chief Medical Officer and then as Chief Medical Informatics Officer. He previously served in several roles — Chief Medical Informatics Officer, Regional Director and Director of Medical Education — for Emergent Medical Associates/Pacific Healthworks in Manhattan Beach. Vince will work collaboratively with hospital leaders on a renewed focus on quality metrics, among other initiatives.
Patrick Rafferty, assumes a new role as Chief Operating Officer for Pipeline’s Los Angeles Market while also serving as Chief Executive Officer for Coast Plaza Hospital. Patrick assumes new responsibilities for Pipeline’s four LA hospitals, utilizing his more than three decades of experience in healthcare leadership, while also serving as CEO at Coast Plaza. Among other priorities, Patrick will focus on opening the new Behavioral Health Unit at Coast Plaza, which will serve patients from across Pipeline’s Los Angeles market.
Elaine Stephenson has been promoted to the position of Vice President for Human Resources for Pipeline. Elaine has more than 20 years’ experience in human resources management, training and development. She joined Pipeline in 2021 as director of workforce planning and quickly assumed a growing portfolio of responsibility that includes strategic partnership with executive leaders across the system, development of plans to meet our operational goals and implementation of the Human Resources Information System. In her new role, Elaine will have an enhanced focus on HR operations and employee relations.
